There is a lot to consider when buying or renting a condo. That’s why we’ve made it simple for you. We have the tools you need to get the condo you want. These 4 tech tools are going to simplify your condo search, while giving you the information you need to make informed decisions that you can feel good about.
Why you need it: With so many kinds of building styles out there it’s important to narrow down your options. If not, you may just find yourself in a sea of condos. Which can make it feel like you’re looking for a needle in a haystack. Make it easy on yourself by narrowing down your options based on what you’re actually looking for. This is a great place to start to weed out the condos that are not for you. Starting here is going to simplify your search and save you time. Win-win.
How to: Once you’ve selected your desired city, you’ll find all the filter options in the upper left-hand corner (just under the Price, Size, Beds, and Bath filters). You will see options for various building styles (Low-Rise, Mid-Rise, High-Rise, Loft, Luxury, and Pre-Construction) which you are then able to select and toggle between and see what is offered under each desired filter.
Why you need it: We know that renting or buying a condo is a big step. That’s why it’s easier when you get all your ducks in a row, including your financial ducks. We recommend utilizing our mortgage calculator feature. Taking advantage of this handy tech tool is going to allow you to make financially smart and informed decisions when it comes to renting or buying that condo.
How to: Once you’ve selected a condo to view, just under the listing price on the right-hand side, you will see “Mortgage Calculator”. Click on it. A dropdown menu will appear allowing you to select a rate, and toggle or enter a loan amount. This feature also allows you to play around with various interest rates, loans, and down payments. When you select “Apply Now” at the bottom of the dropdown menu there will be a pop up with more questions. Once completed one of our agents will get in touch with you to discuss your options further.
Why you need it: We get that you might not want to spend every waking hour searching for a condo. And if that’s the case, our tech tool is going to be your best friend. The Alert feature is going to notify you when a condo you may be interested in comes up; all while you’re still able to go about your day. Once you know what you’re looking for you’ll be able to set up an alert based on your custom criteria. Yes, it is that easy.
How to: There are two ways you can create your custom alerts. The first is on the map page. In the upper left-hand corner. Beside the filters, you will see an option with a bell icon that says, “Get Alerts”. The second place you can create your alerts is on the building page. Once you select “Get Alerts” a pop-up box will appear where you can start to create your custom alerts. You can create as many alerts as you want and choose the desired frequency in which alert emails are sent to you. Sit back, relax, and get notified when something you’re looking for comes up.
Why you need it: Our Values and Trends feature is going to keep you in the know. Be informed on the building’s previous stats and numbers. We want you to be able to make data driven decisions that you feel good about. They say that numbers don’t lie - and we want to show you those numbers. With this you’ll see the average price per square foot of the current year and previous year for that specific building. And if data is available for the neighbourhood, you can bet we’re going to show you that too. You’ll also be able to compare the average prices of a condo year after year, allowing you to get a full picture of the condo landscape before making the move.
How to: The Values and Trends tool is located at the bottom of building pages, unit pages and under the filters on the map page. When diving into the world of renting or buying a condo, we highly recommend checking out this handy tech tool, so that you can confidently make an educated decision when it comes to your move.
