Crestview is in south-west end of Ottawa. It is bounded on the north by Norice Stt, on the east by Merivale Rd, on the south by the CN Railtracks and on the west by Woodroffe Ave. The homes were built between 1959-1963 with a majority of the homes being bungalows. Town houses were later built behind Merivale Mall and another section was built on Viewmount Dr. The neighborhood is believed to be named after the shape of Viewmount Dr going in a crest.
