What to Expect

Parliament Hill takes its name from the Gothic revival suite of buildings that are the home of the Parliament of Canada. The neighbourhood includes an area of crown land on the southern banks of the Ottawa River in downtown Ottawa, and is a neighbourhood in the Somerset Ward.

Demographics

Parliament Hill is a mix of well-educated singles (46%) and couples (40%), students and recent grads, white-collar professionals, and service workers.

99% of homes in the area are in high-rise condominium apartments, with great views of the city, the Parliament buildings, and the Gatineau Hills. 60% of the homes were built between 1957 and 1991. In the last 10 years there has been a development boom in the neighbourhood, with 33% of the homes recently built.
