Just a few steps into the interior streets will take you to a residential hideaway. Large, single detached houses line the streets, with mature trees and manicured lawns. One of the joys of living in this area is the mixed use of the space. It’s a convenient commute into downtown but a community on its own. There are a plethora of schools to choose from for families, and outlets for extracurricular activities as well. The urban professional will enjoy the proximity to Yonge and Eglinton that supports a vibrant nightlife outside of downtown. There are terrific restaurants and cafes, daily living services, major banks and grocery stores. 

Demographics

Mount Pleasant East has an interesting mix of working age singles and families with young children. Access. Mount Pleasant East has it all when it comes to transportation. There is TTC access, the new subway line and you can comfortably keep a car. This neighborhood is also completely and very pleasantly walkable. Quiet interior streets all have well maintained sidewalks and exterior streets all have interesting street level shopping. All of this, fifteen minutes from downtown. Families and Yuppies.  It might seem impossible but both groups will be just as happy in this neighborhood.
