The Taylor Building was originally constructed in 1911 and still retains much of its original charm. The beige brick exterior is grand and the new paneled windows hint at the modern conversions within. Masonry detailing and turn of the century cornices featured on the exterior of The Taylor Building create the authentic charm of the building. There are 22 units across the five storeys of The Taylor Building. Each unit features authentic elements of the original building. Features like timber beams, exposed brick and concrete and steel supports. The units also get soaring ceilings reaching 14 feet high and authentic hard wood flooring. Most of the units are designed in an open concept, this maximizes the beauty of the modern kitchens. These kitchens feature granite countertops and top of the line stainless steel appliances. All residents of The Taylor Building also receive access to a shared rooftop patio. These lofts are located in the heart of Gastown surrounded by other similar heritage buildings and Vancouver Lofts.
