What to Expect

Spryfield is a community in Halifax. Right on the edge of downtown Halifax, it is just a 15-minute drive from the downtown core. The community was named after Captain Lieutenant-General William Spry who settled in the area in 1769.

With a population of 10,864, Spryfield is quieter than the neighbouring city of Halifax. The great majority of residents work elsewhere, and few local businesses thrive. The community has become more of a ‘bedroom community' as the downtown core of Halifax flourished.
